Basics 1 - MONDAYS, 7:00-8:00pm NEW CLASS DAY & TIME for 2023-2024! 6 week session For beginning students and all students wishing to refine their basic skills. Each session will focus on posture, stretching, and fundamental movements of American Tribal Style® bellydance. This is a progressive course, so we will build a basic repertoire in the 6 weeks: You will be dancing in your first class!

For students who have completed at least 6 weeks of Basics 1. This class is run in a 6-week cycle, on a drop-in basis only, (starts the same day as Basics 1) however, it will build on the skills learned in Basics 1. Basics 2 has two curricula: A and B, in order to cover the full 12 weeks' information. You can start in either one. Each class will focus on more complex movements, layering movements, and refinement of fundamental isolations. Basic partner work, transitions, and leading will be introduced, as well as more complex zill patterns. Students at this level are encouraged to continue their studies through regular attendance at Basics 1 and 2 classes: you may repeat these courses indefinitely. Remember: mastery of movement will only come through continued practice.
Intermediate: Transitions/Formations --start date TBD INSTRUCTOR REFERRAL ONLY
For students who have mastered the basic vocabulary of movements. BY INSTRUCTOR REFERRAL ONLY! This class is on a drop-in basis only. This class will build on the basic repertoire of movements, adding complex variations, and turns, including non-ATS® repertoire movements, and Lost & Found signature moves. We will spend a good deal of time working in small groups, emphasizing leading, transitions, and basic formations. Students at this level are encouraged to continue their studies by attending Basics classes as well. Ask your instructor, if you feel you'd like to start attending this class.
Advanced: Performance Prep --start date TBD INSTRUCTOR REFERRAL ONLY
For students who have mastered the full vocabulary of movements, and concepts of improvisation . BY INSTRUCTOR REFERRAL ONLY! This class is on a drop-in basis only. This class will continue to strengthen leading abilities, and will build upon the vocabulary of movements learned thus far. Advanced formations, and concepts, such as floorwork, performance presentation, costuming, application of complex zill patterns, and more will be covered. This class is designed to prepare students for performance, and entry into the student troupe. Students at this level are encouraged to continue their studies by attending Basic and Intermediate classes as well. Ask your instructor, if you feel you'd like to start attending this class. (Must be an active Intermediate student)
